Joy Rondello is a Seattle-based interior designer specializing in residential and boutique retail design. Her 12 years of experience in the interior design field began at boutique design firms in Manhattan, where she created luxury interiors for retail and high profile residential clients, with a focus on interior architecture and bespoke design solutions.
After receiving her Political Economy degree from the University of Asia and the Pacific, Joy left Manila to join the Fashion Studies program at Parsons School of Design. However, shortly after arriving in New York, she discovered her passion for arranging interior spaces and switched to the Interior Design program. Her first project was a concept renovation of a home inspired by a Diego Rivera painting. That exploration of the intersection between art and interiors continues to inform her work today.
Her projects have appeared in The New York Times, The Seattle Times, Seattle Met, Women’s Wear Daily, and Gray Magazine.

Joy is fantastic! She has an excellent eye and vision. She had creative, one of a kind ideas for our space, and was very collaborative, helping convert a languishing room into a smashing and beautiful space that friends and family are drawn to. Joy helped me stay within budget and had the highest integrity. She has great flair and is also very nice and enjoyable to work with. We will work with her again, and I have already passed on her name to 3 friends who were impressed with her work. -Rita S.
Joy did the design work at our old house (lounge room, dining room, formal living room). We re-hired her to help design the interior of our new house, specifically the study and 2 kids bedrooms. Joy is so talented and her understated manner can sometimes conceal the genius underneath. I talked with her about our vision and gave her some images and then she came up with designes that were EXACTLY what we were looking for. She is also very willing to try to stay within budgets by doing some projects step by step. I could not recommend her highly enough. - Lakshmi B.
I have had the joy to collaborate with Joy on a few different projects. She has a great eye for detail and design, with a modern touch. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a designer to run an entire remodel project, or anything from a bathroom remodel to a color consultation. - Jeff D.
We are an architecture firm that collaborates with J+Studio for interior design work. Joy has fantastic talent and displays a propensity to create classy, timeless yet fresh interior environments, all the while being a lovely person. She lives up to her name. we will continue to collaborate with Joy. - Allied 8
